Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Improve the reliability, security, automation, and adoption of enterprise delivery platforms, with GitLab as the primary focus and Jira and Confluence in the operating environment.
Washington, DC · Active Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize GitLab, Jira, and Confluence for reliability, security, and performance.
- Design and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines with integrated security and compliance controls.
- Develop automation for build, deployment, monitoring, and platform operations.
- Support Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux-based platform infrastructure.
- Perform platform gap analysis and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and adoption.
- Provide technical consultation on upgrades, features, integrations, and platform capabilities.
- Support applicable federal security requirements, including NIST SP 800-53 controls where required.
Minimum qualifications
- Active Secret clearance.
- Strong hands-on GitLab administration and CI/CD experience.
- Three or more years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Linux administration experience with Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, or similar distributions.
- Bash or shell and Python automation skills.
- Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm experience.
- Strong communication skills and prior federal-government experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Five or more years supporting enterprise applications or platforms.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP certification.
- Experience migrating applications from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated improvement of platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or Ansible.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
